Could I ask which programs each of you used to re-order your boot sequence? This is expressly not supported, so it's little surprise that this broke things for you. The bug should be reassigned to whatever did the reordering, since it should NOT have touched rcS (and even if it should, udev should appear before mountdevsubfs)
Brian Croom and scottywz - the output you both give appears to be correct - can you give more details ?
