If more confirmation is required, this error also snagged me in Arch Linux:

 Inkscape 0.47 r22583, built Apr 22 2010
 xfce4-clipman-plugin 1.1.3

Reverting to xfce4-clipman-plugin 1.1.1 seems to be a workaround.

I do have Java installed, but it's not running.
