Hi

I have exactly the same problem: CD is stopping directly after "mounting root file system", or if I remove "quiet - splash" (key F6) it stops one step later (don't know exactly why).
I tried upgrade via Synaptic and could run dapper perfectly, but impossible to install. Installation stops somewhere on step "creating root file"
Breezy is running perfectly, so no doubt about my system configuration.
Hope problem will be solved in final dapper 6.06.
