Correct me if I'm wrong, but at one point you told me to ADD an `wait_for_udev 10` call before
 (the now disabled) call to `_set_available_devices_to_up`.

Attached the latest `/usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/functions` just to make sure we are on the same page with the Modifications.
