I can confirm that 3.19.0-31-generic #36~RevertsV2 works without any of the issues.

@rolfinator (seb2): Yes I have the same issues with the 3.19.0-30 kernel stated in the initial post (plus some random system freezes, except the workaround "boot -> wait for dm-crypt passphrase, which can't be entered --> reboot --> enter passphrase" works on 3.19.0-30, but system freezes remain afterwards).
