Same issue with the kernel aforementioned (3.19.0-30-generic) on Ubuntu GNOME 15.04.

Oddly booting with that kernel in recovery mode gets the keyboard to work (tried to fix dpkg from there but it can't download package, although it seemed there was one package missing).

Blindly entering the password doesn't work. I need to boot on 3.19.0-28 for being able to enter passphrase.
