But I am. Framebuffer consoles can break lots of things, like power management. The ultimate solution is coming though; kernel modesetting. Hardy+1 material, hopefully.

If you haven't noticed, this bug has been assigned to the kernel team by a team member. So either contribute patches or just wait.
