time and date settings do not open when selected from top menu

On the new unity shell, when pressing the menubar clock and clicking on time & date settings, nothing happens

Do you have evolution installed? It's not supposed to open the settings, it's supposed to open the Evolution calendar.

curious... it ran for a minute or so (without any windows being displayed whatsoever) without any message and then

(indicator-datetime-preferences:9162): Unique-DBus-WARNING **: Error while sending message: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

I'm also affected by this bug, when I run /usr/bin/indicator-datetime-preferences nothing happens, no window or anything is opened and not message is written to the terminal.

Sorry, after 30 to 40 seconds I get the same error as the one reported in #3

I am also experiencing a bug and have also found a workaround. The problem appears to be with elevation - ie the date and time app fails to request it. Running from terminal the above quoted command works if you ask for elevation. So:

   $ sudo /usr/bin/indicator-datetime-preferences

works fine for me.
