This bug won't be fixed before the 13.04 release, but there is a good chance that a fix during next development cycle will make it to 13.04 through an SRU.

I have uploaded to my PPA a fresh version of indicator-datetime for Raring including a fix. Please feel free to install it from https://launchpad.net/~gunnarhj/+archive/misc and test it.
