2009-11-18 05:11:05 Robert Collins description If you remove Indicator-applet-session from the panel, shutdown and log out menu items re-appear on the system menu (incidentally, I think they should be there all the time!). If you then re-add indicator-applet-session to the panel, they dissapear, but they also take system menu entries Help and Support About Gnome About Ubuntu with them. I think all these items should be on the menu all the time, irrespective of whether indicator-applet-session is present or not.
