Hi Johannes,

I can confirm that your bug is reproducible here when you try run
digikam-0.7-1 on a sid box. The current binaries do run fine on a sarge box,
thus I suspect there are some undocumented incompatibilities in the KDE libs
between versions.

I shall upload digikam-0.7-2 shortly which should resolve this issue for you
and allow digikam ro work correctly on a sid box.
