To me vi is Zen. To use vi is to practice zen. Every command is
a koan. Profound to the user, unintelligible to the uninitiated.

Strange. Is you sid system up to date?
0.7-2 has the following deb line:
$ dpkg --info digikam_ 0.7-2_i386. deb | grep ^\ Depends
Depends: kdelibs4 (>= 4:3.3.1), libc6 (>= 2.3.2.ds1-4), libgcc1 (>= 1:3.4.1-3), libgdbm3, libgphoto2-2 (>= 2.1.4-8), libgphoto2-port0 (>= 2.1.4-8), libimlib2, libjpeg62, libkexif0 (>= 0.1), libkipi0 (>= 0.1), libqt3c102-mt (>= 3:3.3.3), libstdc++5 (>= 1:3.3.4-1), libtiff4, libx11-6 | xlibs (>> 4.1.0)
Is there a difference to your home build digikam deb?
