ibus-daemon 170% CPU when using Flatpak Endeavour

- Install Endeavour from Flatpak: https://flathub.org/apps/details/org.gnome.Todo
- Synchronize a few Google tasks list
- Attempt to type in the new task bar
- Observe that `ibus-daemon` uses 170% CPU for half a minute before typing is possible

Ubuntu 22.10 with Gnome, with both English and Chinese input methods installed

Can you please install endeavour from the Ubuntu archive

sudo apt install endeavour

and let us know if the issue is present also when using that version of it.

Hi, I have it installed and the issue is still present on that version. The upstream maintainer is unable to reproduce it on the newer Flatpak version and suspects that it's related to Ubuntu instead: <https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/Endeavour/-/issues/475>

A long shot: Install gnome-session:

sudo apt install gnome-session

log in to a "vanilla" GNOME session and see if you notice a difference with respect to the endeavour behavior.

"GNOME on Wayland" shows the same behavior as "Ubuntu on Wayland" after installing the package.
