Bug Description
deads keys / accented characters stop working on Libreoffice after windows loses focus
On Ubuntu 14.04 with KDE:
1. open libreoffice
2. write áéíóú
3. click on another window or use alt+tab
4. clock on libreoffice window or use alt+tab
5. write áéíóu and get aeiou instead
The situation can be worked around by running
unset XMODIFIERS
libreoffice
from a terminal.
We can certainly set unset XMODIFIERS on
/usr/lib/
but that will not survice libreoffice upgrades.
We could also unset XMODIFIERS on .bash_profile but we want the workaround to be limited to libreoffice without causing side effects on other apps.
Conclusion: we need a solution that comes directly from Ubuntu's repositories.
