downloading of the new files, but the system resists !

Now you are executing the rights commands on the right directory, but I
gave you the wrong files since these were for amd64 while you are using
i386 packages. Could you please retry with downloading these:

http://eppesuigoccas.homedns.org/~giuseppe/debian/hylafax/squeeze-i386/hylafax-client_6.1%7e20111227-7_i386.deb
http://eppesuigoccas.homedns.org/~giuseppe/debian/hylafax/squeeze-i386/hylafax-server_6.1%7e20111227-7_i386.deb

and then issuing the command:

dpkg -i hylafax-client_6.1~20111227-7_i386.deb hylafax-
server_6.1~20111227-7_i386.deb
