Comment 5 for bug 775542

I installed hwinfo and was able to run it once then i wanted to do hwinfo > hw.txt and id gave

sudo hwinfo > hw
process 2898: arguments to dbus_move_error() were incorrect, assertion "(dest) == NULL || !dbus_error_is_set ((dest))" failed in file dbus-errors.c line 278.
This is normally a bug in some application using the D-Bus library.
libhal.c 3483 : Error unsubscribing to signals, error=The name org.freedesktop.Hal was not provided by any .service files

i installed hal witch also installed hal hal-info smartdimmer and hwinfo after that Works\

ALSO it work on completly clean Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Netbook Remix but if on clean after updates and autoremove unneeded packages then installing hwinfo makes it not work
