I have 6710s and it crash immediately after pushing lid down. I think it's bug in module button.ko
If i do:

sudo rmmod button

- the problem disappears. Easy workaround creates something like /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-button containing:

blacklist button

It's work for me.
