Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
I have a sony via vgn-s260 with an ipw2200 wireless device, running up-to-date Edgy. When I wake my laptop from sleep, nm-applet shows eth1 as a wired network. After a reboot, everything is back to normal. I also discovered, if I kill NetworkManager, rmmod ipw2200, modprobe ipw2200, then start NetworkManager, eth1 regains wireless status. The entire time iwconfig shows eth1 as being a wireless device.

I can confirm this, this does not happen reliably, but usually after 2 to 3 resumes
The log says that n-m knows, that the device is managed by ipw2200 but constantly talks about a 802.3 wired device
Attached is the relevant part of the log
I have a Samsung X20 with ipw2200 wireless and a b44 wired connection
