Just for the record, another victim here, Gutsy live CD (actually on a persistent USB stick), wasted six hours and two USB sticks yesterday because of this. )-:

I would seriously suggest removing Gparted from the stable distribution if this cannot be fixed for Hoar^H^H^Hardy.
