Yep, I can confirm the same problem. I do not have this issue on 8.04 but it surfaced on 8.10.

I'm using the latest Sony flash drive (4GB SONY Click) which has a Samsung chip in it. The current workaround is to use the Partition Editor to mount the drive manually, however I do hope that the automount issue can be solved.
