Tried it just now, it didn't work. One thing you might want to know is that after inserting a
disc in the drive, then going to Places > Computer and then clicking on the CDRW icon, it just
gives this:

Warning: device /dev/hdc is already handled by /etc/fstab, supplied label is ignored
mount: /dev/hdc already mounted or /media/cdrom0 busy
mount: according to mtab, /dev/hdc is already mounted on /media/cdrom0
Error: could not execute pmount

I am not sure if the above message is related in any way to this bug here. The above happens with
any pmount i have installed (the new one you gave, and the current one in breezy repos).
