After reinstalling some HAL components That I found in Sunaptic Package Manager, (I thought that might help), I received the following errors:

E: hal: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
E: hal-cups-utils: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
E: hal-device-manager: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
