Comment 291 for bug 415023

I can confirm that following the steps in comment 265 worked for me, with one slight difference:

I am using a Wind U123, so I downloaded the corresponding latest firmware for that model: firmware 10i

I also can reproduce the interesting brightness behavior of comment 269.
