I think this bug is more related to gvfs than to samba
This is why I decided to report the bug here.

The bug ONLY occurs when the share is mounted via Nautilus. (This uses gvs, right ?)

When I mount the same share using the command line "smbmount" utility (as root) everything works like it should.
