I've just reinstalled ubuntu 8.10 and i get 24MB/s USB transfers. But without applying the latest software upgrades!!! There are some packets that crashes the USB performance (perhaps the kernel updates?).

My current version:
Linux version 2.6.27-7-generic (buildd@rothera) (gcc version 4.3.2 (Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu10) ) #1 SMP Fri Oct 24 06:42:44 UTC 2008

With my previous installation I didn't notice any change with pci=routeirq

Tested with Fedora 10 Live CD (KDE) and I also get around 20 MB/s
