Bug Description

Binary package hint: gvfs-backends

While using latest (0.1.8svn20080228-0ubuntu1) Hardy gvfs with the new obexftp backend and Nokia E61i:

aleander@HumanError:~$ gvfs-ls 'obex://[DE:AD:BE:EF:00:00]/'
E:
C:

This breaks Nautilus somehow - trying to enter obex://[DE:AD:BE:EF:00:00]/E%3A fails with an error message about themount point not being properly specified, both by clicking in the root folder and trying to enter the location directly. gvfs-tree on obex://[DE:AD:BE:EF:00:00]/ and gvfs-ls on obex://[DE:AD:BE:EF:00:00]/E%3A both work correctly.

That also holds true for the latest uploaded version gvfs (0.1.8svn20080303-0ubuntu1).

Please fix this, all Nokia S60 phones are inaccessible :(

gvfs (0.1.11-ubuntu1) does not fix the issue.

This is resolved in upstream gvfs as of now. We only need a sync from SVN trunk at the moment.

This bug is not fixed, it needs syncing from SVN, the version that is available in Ubuntu is too old.

Uhh, sorry Sebastian, but the current (0.1.11-0ubuntu3) Ubuntu version is broken. Upstream claims that the bug was corrected in revision 1558.

Sebastien told me he'd make another snapshot once the soft freeze is over. Let's hope for the best.

why do you change the status over the maintainer decision? the fix has been commited, just not uploaded yet

I witness that this fixes the problem in nautilus. However, perhaps on a related issue, if you open an obex device, for instance my Nokia S60 device, in the gtk file chooser, I can only see a folder with no name, where instead it should have been C: . I do not have any other bluetooth devices, and so it I cannot verify whether this is caused by the colon, or some other issue. This makes it impossible to browse obex bluetooth devices in the filechooser, and of course, the opening of them.

I this the same issue?

Kind Regards,
Matthew

not sure you should open a new bug rather because adding comments will only complicate this one
