I experienced exactly the symptoms described in the present bug-report #1079246, that is reading from a gvfs-mounted directory. Whatever the way to read (nautilus or other, even ls) all hang the same way until I kill the process. Hang occurs even when copying from a small share a directory containing for a handful of small files, even without subdirectory, for a total of 1Mb (not tested for other cases).
On the other hand, bug-report #1075923 describes "nautilus" copying "large directories", "a few GB".
These two bugs describe different conditions.
I see two policies here :
* we claim that it's the same bug, confirm that #1079246 is a duplicate, and adjust title of #1075923 to widen its scope and include scope of #1079246
* we claim that these are different bugs and suppress duplicate status.
I'm questioning the duplicate status of this bug.
