This bug is caused but the click speed being too low or ignored!

What happens is when you right click an item it acts as though you've help the right button in (try this yourself on a file item in nautilus), holding the right mouse button will select the item your hovering when you release the button.

I had this happen on 8.04 and 8.10 - but not 9.04 (so may be fixed?)
