Err, it worked for me. Ubuntu 8.10 Totem 2.24.3 probably not the same hardware. It hadn't occured to me to try navigating with the keyboard as the mouse works fine. I wonder if the laptops mousepad works, they usually have one and the YouTube movie carefully avoided using it.
