Anyways, this bug with misprinting chars at PS Level 3 is not fixed. It is merrily worked-around (aka hacked fix).

And it's not even proper.

No matter how I tried to specify to print Postscript Level 3 (by specifying within the .ppd file and by gui settings), I kept getting a Postscript Level 2 file written!!! This is WRONG.

I emailed Till Kamppeter my thoughts as well. (I'm sure he's happy to hear them ;-)
