Doesn't work for me, I have ghtumb 3:2.10.11-0ubuntu1 installed and at connecting the camera, the gthumb import dialog tells me the device is locked, i.e. is the SD storage is mounted.

I think gthumb could act as f-spot, i.e. unmounting the storage before trying to import the photos, and then mounting it again when finishing importing the photos.
