Crop not applied in gthumb

I view a picture, select crop from the "Image" menu, select a crop in the crop dialogue, click apply.

The crop is not applied to the picture. The picture is completely unchanged.

You have to click the "Crop" button BEFORE clicking "Apply". The "Crop" button is in the upper-left corner of the crop button, diagonally opposite the "Apply" button.

This is a confusing and user-hostile layout. Upstream bug http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408342.

User-hostile, that's an excellent way of putting this. I use gthub all the time and it still bites me!

It will be fixed in gthumb 2.11.0.

It would be nice to implement Selection Tool on the toolbar and Save Crop As item and dialog on the right click over selection.
I think this it the simples and the most intuitive image cropping method.
