Once this bug has occurred other video players are tinted blue, eg. VLC Media Player. After a reboot the video will play fine in VLC but as soon as any videos are launched with Totem/GStreamer the problem returns (for all videos/progs). Eg. Skype video is affected. Flash Player doesn't seem to be affected..
