Hi there.

I'm on Lucid (10.4 LTS) and also running RythmBox 0.12.8, I have no idea which version of Gstreamer I'm using but I have a receipt for recreating the bug.

download this torrent: http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4899523/Green_Day_-_Discography__All_Albums (it has a lot of songs without artist and album infos) ... import them to RythmBox ... and as they show up in the unknown artist mark them and indicate "Green day" as artist ... this gives error boxes abundant ... some say: "Error while saving song information - Internal GStreamer problem; file a bug" some say:Error while saving song information - Unable to create tag-writing elements"

I hope this helps - I'll find another discography as the work of rearanging all is too much for lacy little me :) ... enjoy the work ;)
