I have this under Hardy. Below is Totem's konsole output (no hard out debugging symbols or anything, sorry, haven't read up on all that)
NB I'm using Xubuntu Hardy. I installed Gnome Settings Demon a few hours ago for something else, but I'm still in XFCE4
3gp Video appears fine but without sound. Video created on Nokia 6234. Beware my comment in the console output.

Searching the repositories only showed good bad and ugly codec sets and plugins, none of which seemed helpful. I installed good, bad AND ugly, to no avail.
Google didn't show up a lot of promising information. I might try later in Gnome and see if that helps (!!!!)
Thanks guys. I hope the konsole output is of at least some use anyway, not that I really seemed to cover anything that Alexander Jones didn't?
