Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubuntu-desktop
This has been observed in Totem and gnome-games. The problem is, quite simply, due to jackd not being installed by default. It is a problem, since it looks really ugly and probably has some unwanted behind the scenes consequences.
Quick way to reproduce:
-In the terminal, run totem
-Open an audio file (or video file)
-When it begins playing, check for output on the terminal. Check for "sh: jackd: command not found".
That output seems to appear every time sound is played.
I am blaming this on ubuntu-desktop for now. Could be a dependency error with the gstreamer packages, though.

This is definitely a dependency of gstreamer's: properties.
The same output appears running an audio output or input test with gstreamer-
