Davidiam: Yes, the problem persists in Intrepid.

The developers didn't look at my bug yet as far as I can tell. Not much I can do about that.

I'll try to get a PPA for Intrepid soon. My patches are not "fixes", they are "reverts" to unbreak what was broken.
