I am experiencing the same problem. Rhythmbox was working fine until I followed the instructions at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/HP2133 for upgrading the video driver. Also when I load rhythmbox and click on visualization and play a song it works. As soon as I click on "browse" the song stops playing.
