Bug Description
Hi, my GE Minicam Pro (or Microdia ) webcam is not being detected in Ubuntu 9.04 but it is supported according to this page: http://
This is "uname -a" output:
diegogac@
Linux diegogac-laptop 2.6.28-13-generic #44-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jun 2 07:57:31 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
This is the "lsusb" output:
diegogac@
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 0461:4d15 Primax Electronics, Ltd
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 0c45:60fe Microdia Audio (Microphone)
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
As you can see the webcam is 0c45:60fe Microdia Audio (Microphone).
This is the "dmesg" output:
[ 324.651000] Linux video capture interface: v2.00
[ 324.671759] sn9c102: V4L2 driver for SN9C1xx PC Camera Controllers v1:1.47pre49
[ 324.673986] usb 4-1: SN9C105 PC Camera Controller detected (vid:pid 0x0C45:0x60FE)
[ 324.801561] usb 4-1: No supported image sensor detected for this bridge
[ 324.801615] usbcore: registered new interface driver sn9c102
It is trying to use sn9c102 driver but it should be using gspca_sonixj driver.
I read a similar bug at: https:/
Any idea about the solution? I know blacklisting sn9c102 does not work for ubuntu 9.04
Thanks!
Diego
