I get this message at boot after the most recent grub update. I didn't get it before and didn't see any errors when updating grub. (It did ask and overwrite my /etc/default/grub which I had modified.)
--
Unlike the reporter of that bug, I still see this with version 1.99-21ubuntu1 of the grub packages. It doesn't come up every boot, but every once in a while (may be connected to whether I reboot to/from Windows or do a hard boot, but can't say for sure).
The exact error message is:
"error: invalid blocklist
Press any key to continue..."
This message comes up after the Ubuntu kernel has been selected. Pressing a key lets the boot continue normally.
Additionally before the grub screen comes up a black screen with the message "error: invalid blocklist" repeated twice flashes by quickly.
