I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ19VN where dev/sda1 is my recovery partition and dev/sda2 is the Windows Vista partition. With karmic both were identified as Windows Vista (loader). The following is the output from grub2 in lucid beta 2:

lars@lars-laptop:~$ sudo update-grub
