I confirm the bug too. Dual boot Koala & Windows. Two disks, PATA and SATA. Grub on different partition than /boot.
Hopefully, thys wil be solved soon. Although it is not boot-denying error, few second disc trashing is very cheap and anoying.
I will not move the grub to another disc just because of some bug - that is stupid workaround and users should not allow developert to get used to such "easy solution"
