@mavink - you only need the one recovery VM - you can attach and detach all the broken OS disks to that.

Potentially you can script all the steps on the recovery VM, and you can script all the azure steps using the Azure CLI. You can translate all the steps I did via the portal to be via the CLI and run that as a bash script.
