My menu does work because it is "run" by OpenSUSE . . . only the ubuntu flavors "disappear" my menu.
My question was, does "disabling graphical terminal" in a Mac actually "fix" the problems that this thread is discussing??? By uncommenting that line, the grub menu will appear on booting??
Clearly my "TIMEOUT" matches your suggestion . . . that was in my Deb Bullseye distro this am.
