I wasn't posting to get you to remove your post, just letting you know that so far "no action" has taken place here . . . in spite of a fair number of folks who have been affected by it.

I'm not sure what "inactionable" means, or why you would say "we don't want a menu" . . . when, for multi-booting we generally would want a menu? Compared to the usual 1 or 2 people on a bug this is quite a bit more . . . I found problems with "UEFI" as possibly involved . . . other people found work arounds . . . but a "bug" is a "bug" . . . and should be "actionable" or investigated until solution found?? If people are "complaining" then what is the basis of that complaint??
