Hm, no, I can reproduce this, so I don't need the output of grub-mkrelpath. It's not a general problem with btrfs, so my previous guess was wrong - booting works fine and that wouldn't work if we were handling relative paths wrongly. I'll see if I can reproduce this in a more stripped-down environment to diagnose it.
