*I tried again using the same partitioning as above
-failed
*added a swap partitoin
-failed
*used one partition, no swap, no /boot
-success, and no errors.
so probably the /boot partition was triggering the problem.
I Will examine if asked , but please ask me what and how to examine,what tom report.
I won't mind whiping this (k)ubintu installation within one or 2 weeks, but after 3 weeks i might have installed to much to risk erasing everything.
