I also had this problem with the dapper-6.04 flight 4 iso. I never looked to see if Ihad any card readers though... but during the install, the only harddrives available were sdc, sdd and sde while I was expecting sda, sdb and sdc.... I just shrugged it off and let the installer do its thing... (drive id's are 0, 1 and 2) ... I have an ide cdrom as well.. installed on the 2nd ide controller, as master... no other ide drives... Grub installed fine to (hd0) and it went to the first scsi disk as expected...after booting the installed system, the first harddrive was now sda, so grub wouldn't work without changing root=sdc2 to root=sda2 ... and I also had to boot the rescue mode, to manually edit fstab entries for sdc to sda.

...scsi controller btw is Adaptech 2940U2W incase anyones interested.

Guys, can we get vi on the rescue disc? ;) I hate nano.
