Bug Description
'test-regex' fails when building grep against glibc 2.34.
Per commentary from grep upstream at https:/
the test failure can be attributed to skew between the glibc built-in regex and the one that is found in the grep source code.

$ echo 87654321 | \ .?)(.?) (.?)(.? )(.?)(. ?)(.?)( .?).?\9\ 8\7\6\5\ 4\3\2\1$ '
grep -E -e '^(.?)(
Segmentation fault
Will work on a C reproducer soon.
