Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command only once, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:

apport-collect 1878680

(It will tell us your package details, what release you mean etc which will allow us to more easily see what you mean - I use `gpicview` very often and haven't noticed the issue)
